that looks nutty – looks like winter squash maybe cross pollinated with a cucumber. is it a volunteer?
Yes, it is a volunteer. Some of them are getting quite large–at how big would you recommend harvesting them?
winter squash i think…much later. open one and see if it is pithy like a pumpkin or watery like a cucumber. if it is stringy, let it grow
